Pre Rup
This temple was built at the same period than Banteay Srey, but it is not in the same style, what is really interesting. Located near Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, this mountain-temple of combined brick and laterite, poses particularly delicate technical problems for restoration and conservation. Dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, tourists are impressed by very simple ornamentations and big carved sitting stone lions arrayed at intermediate stages

Banteay Samre
Built in the 12th Century just after Angkor Wat, it is a well-preserved Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style. However, many bas-reliefs show Buddhist scenes. Once again , the Angkor site proves the religious tolerance of the Khmer civilisation. Located 5 km East of Angkor Wat, this temple is on the road leading to Banteay Srey. So, it is a perfect stop on the way

Banteay Kdei
This Buddhist temple also worths a stop because it is a mixing of Bayon with Ta Phrom (moreover it is located very near Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom). From the 12th Century, it is also surmounted by carved stone towers with big smiling faces and lots of ancient trees with big roots create a very romantic scene. Numerous well-preserved sculptures show "celestial" Apsaras with always different positions
